Youtube《brief introduction》The aborigines of Taiwan are part of the Austronesian people. It is known that they have a history of at least 5,000 years in Taiwan. From archaeological research, we know that the early Austronesian people lived in the coastal plain. However, many aborigines in Taiwan now live in mountainous areas, even in high mountain areas between 1,500 and 2,500 meters above sea level. Sheipa National Park is located in the mountainous area of north-central Taiwan, where there are many peaks over 3,000 meters high. According to ethnographic data, many aboriginal groups have lived in the Sheipa National Park and its surrounding area for a long time. From the settlement sites over the years or the remnants of other behaviors, we know that human beings have migrated to the mountainous areas of Taiwan very early. How did the ancestors of these aborigines who migrated to the mountain areas in the early days adapt to the changes in the natural environment of the mountains? And how can human beings use all kinds of mountain and forest resources to get along with nature for a long time? This lecture tries to let us go back to the past time and space from the standpoint of archaeology, and explore the interactive relationship between human beings and the natural environment. It can also be used as a reference for contemporary people, especially thinking about the relationship between contemporary people and nature.
