This lecture is authorized by the lecturer, and the online live broadcast is open at the same time:Youtube《brief introduction》The space environment refers to the area that can be reached by spacecraft. The earliest scientific exploration of space in Taiwan was in 1952 when the Ministry of Transportation set up an ionospheric detector to observe the electron density of the ionosphere in Taiwan. Since then, domestic universities began to teach courses on ionospheric physics and space physics, laying the foundation for Taiwan's space science.
Do you want to know how Taiwan’s space develops? How does Taiwan's space science exploration monitor space weather effects such as solar flares, magnetic storms, earthquakes, and tsunamis, and successfully predict the 921 earthquake, Sumatra earthquake, Tohoku earthquake, tsunami and other phenomena? Is it possible to predict natural disasters in advance? This is a feast to peek into Taiwan’s space development. Those who love space and science, and those who are concerned about global natural disasters (earthquakes, tsunamis) must not miss it!
