Taiwan Whale and Dolphin Culture
Hits:323
《brief introduction
There are about 90 species of cetaceans in the world, and Taiwan has recorded 30 species in just a few years.
The lecturer planned and implemented the whale and dolphin survey project in Hualien waters in 1996, and founded the Taiwan Whale Watching Program in 1997. After 1998, Hualien whale watching boats began to explore the waters 5 to 12 miles offshore, and the discovery rate of sperm whales increased rapidly. In 2000, he was invited to conduct a survey of cetacean resources in the Kenting waters and observed the rapid changes in Taiwan's cetacean culture. In 2023, he personally founded the Hualien County Formosa Association and implemented the "Visiting the Pacific Sperm Whale π Project", which further confirmed that Taiwan is a maritime country with large whales.
If you love cetaceans and the ocean, the lecture will give you a wealth of knowledge about marine life, so come and join it!
