Information Equipment Renting Service

National Library of Public Information Equipment Renting Service

Our Information Equipment renting service is only provided to persons age 12 and above. Upon any overdue, the Library will suspend the right to lend out our collection. The days of suspension are calculated based on the overdue days. The suspension can also be lifted by paying a fine of NT$1 per day of suspension. Suspension days and fines are cumulative. All equipment and their renting regulations are as follows:

E-ink Reader

One per person per rental; 7 days rental, 3 times renewal allowed. Reservations must be done in accordance with library regulations. Overdue: 1 overdue day is equivalent to 20 days of suspension (including all lending rights). The suspension days capped at 15000 days.
Notebook PCs
One per person per rental for 4 hours inside the library. For rentals less than 4 hours before the library closes: all rentals must be returned before the closing of the library. No extensions or reservations. Overdue: 1 overdue hour is equivalent to 1 day of suspension (including all lending rights). The suspension days are capped at 15000 days. All personal data shall be cleared or backed up before returning the equipment. The Library is not responsible for the maintenance and confidentiality of the data. The subject is responsible for compensation and legal responsibilities of any damages, losses, or illegal uses during the rental period.
Tablet PCs
One per person per rental for 4 hours inside the library. For rentals less than 4 hours before the library closes: all rentals must be returned before the closing of the library. iMac
One iMac in the Information Retrieval Area is available for on-site registration. Readers can register with the Library card at the Information Desk on the 2nd floor. Borrowing time will be two hours for each registration, and maximum of two registrations allowed in a day. Please clear or back up your data before checking out the equipment. No responsibility will be taken for the preservation or confidentiality of the data.
