Global Picture Book Center

The Global Picture Book Center focuses on promoting reading for all ages, collecting and showcasing picture books from over 30 countries worldwide to highlight their diversity and richness. In the future, the center will continue to organize various themed picture book exhibitions, demonstrating a broad international perspective. Through picture books, readers will gain a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures, historical backgrounds, and values of different countries and regions, fostering appreciation and respect for global multiculturalism.

Features of the space

The interior design of the Global Picture Book Center embodies the maritime spirit of Taiwan, inviting readers to immerse themselves in a vibrant space filled with picture books from five continents. The most eye-catching features include a themed picture book wall created from illustrations by Belgian artist Anne Crahay, a "Flying Books" installation, and display walls and bookshelves inspired by the five continents. This imaginative and creative space aims to give readers wings—guiding them to soar alongside flying books and the illuminating beacon of knowledge into the vast and colorful world beyond.

Library collection

The World Picture Book Center collects and displays picture books from over 30 countries, offering readers a chance to experience diverse philosophies, emotions, aesthetics, and imagination through these unique creations. This enriches their cultural horizons. We hope to promote reading for all ages through picture books, allowing every visitor to discover delightful treasures at the World Picture Book Center.

Lectures and Cultural Events

We regularly invite illustrators, authors, and publishing professionals to host lectures and workshops, fostering picture book appreciation across all age groups. Through these distinctive international works, participants can explore different philosophies, emotions, beauty, and creativity, broadening their cultural perspectives. Our goal is to encourage a love for picture books among readers of all ages and inspire lifelong interest in this art form.
