Book Delivery Robot - Bobi

NLPI collaborated with the Precision Machinery Research & Development Center to develop "Bobi," the Book Delivery Robot, which made its debut at the main library's opening in June 2012.

Bobi integrates an RFID self-service return and classification system, automatically transporting children’s books returned by readers to the Children’s Learning Center. It can also detect obstacles and interpret its surroundings during transportation.

AI Robot-NAO

NLPI collaborated with Feng Chia University Library on the project "Value-added Applications and Services of Robots in Future Libraries" and developed the "NAO Smart Robot," introduced in July 2017. The robot service system, built using Choregraphe programming development tools, consists of a control module and two service modules. These include a Q&A consultation module developed with QiChat Script and a storytelling module that integrates audio files with actions from the Animation Library. Touch sensors and voice recognition functions enable switching between modules.

The NAO smart robot is equipped with visual, voice, and touch sensors, as well as mobility and other capabilities, allowing it to perform services such as dancing, guiding, verbal responses, and storytelling activities.
