NLPI collaborated with Feng Chia University Library on the project "Value-added Applications and Services of Robots in Future Libraries" and developed the "NAO Smart Robot," introduced in July 2017. The robot service system, built using Choregraphe programming development tools, consists of a control module and two service modules. These include a Q&A consultation module developed with QiChat Script and a storytelling module that integrates audio files with actions from the Animation Library. Touch sensors and voice recognition functions enable switching between modules.
The NAO smart robot is equipped with visual, voice, and touch sensors, as well as mobility and other capabilities, allowing it to perform services such as dancing, guiding, verbal responses, and storytelling activities.
