About Senior-Learning Services

In response to the coming of the "aged society," we customized the services and a reading area for age groups 55 or above, creating a friendly reading space for the senior groups.

Reading Area
  • Provides comfortable sofas and various books, magazines, newspapers.
  • The Senior Area has a collection in 11 topics suitable for the seniors. Books are easy to find, and can all be lent out. The self-service FastBook checkout system at the entrance can also be used.
Information Retrieval Area

Provides computer information equipment for information retrieval and leisure uses.

  1. Two touch-screen computers provide digital news; 5 search computers and 1 Kiosk to search the library's collections.
  2. Digital Leisure Platform: Provides Chinese Chess, Chinese Go Chess, and chess.
  3. 55in Large Screen: Plays health education videos, simple aerobatics.
  4. Newspaper Machine: Provides e-book versions of UDN News, UDN Evening News, Economic Daily News, and Upaper of the day.
Health Check Area

Includes blood pressure-measuring, health info, and other services. Please contact the periodicals counter.

Exhibition Area

Conducts occasional exhibitions.

Multi-learning Classroom

Health, handicrafts, calligraphy, and other classes/lectures can be hosted in the multi-learning classrooms.

LOHAS Area

This area provides comfortable sofas and French windows facing Green Park Way and the courtyard. It is a great scenic spot.

  • Reading Aids
    Provides reading glasses, magnifiers, reading magnifiers (approx. B5-sized), video magnifiers, and other aids for seniors. Please contact the periodicals counter if needed.

  • Basic Medical Equipment

  • Seminar Classes
    Occasional classes include art education, life and healthcare, horticulture, flower arrangements, and others.

  • Reading Aids
    Provides reading glasses, magnifiers, reading magnifiers (approx. B5-sized), video magnifiers, and other aids for seniors. (Please contact the periodicals counter if reading glasses, reading magnifiers, or magnifiers are required.)

  • Basic Medical Equipment
