The S.T.A.L. Alliance: NLPI and Three Major National Institutions Join Forces to Lead a New Wave in Science, Theater, Art, and Library. The inaugural event, “Where to Go with Dinosaurs” invites everyone to join.

The National Library of Public Information(NLPI) is planning and inviting the National Taichung Theate(NTT)r, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts(NTMoFA), and the National Museum of Natural Science(NMNS) to jointly form the "S.T.A.L. Alliance". The objective is to create a platform for reading, culture, and the arts through collaborative efforts across institutions. To welcome the upcoming Year of the Dragon, launching the inaugural event, "Where to Go with Dinosaurs? S.T.A.L.” running from January 31 to February 28. Participants are invited to follow dinosaurs to the four national institutions. After completing challenges at each venue, collecting four puzzle pieces, assembling the puzzle, and leaving a comment on each institution's Facebook page, participants have the chance to win special prizes.
 
Additionally, on January 31st, the four major national institutions officially signed a memorandum of cooperation, collectively dedicated to advancing reading, culture, art, and science. The Director of the National Library of Public Information, Ma Xiang-ping, stated, "We are thrilled to collaborate with the three major national institutions and jointly establish the S.T.A.L. Alliance. Simultaneously, we will also actively promote reading, cultural, and artistic outreach activities throughout the central region. Through the collaboration, we hope to encourage the public to actively participate in cultural and artistic events, thereby enhancing the knowledge and aesthetic literacy of our citizens. This collaboration not only signifies unity but also symbolizes the limitless possibilities of culture. Through cross-institutional collaboration, we believe that 'S.T.A.L.' will bring a wealth of vitality and creativity to the domestic cultural scene."
 
The joint event, "Where to Go with Dinosaurs? S.T.A.L.," officially commencing on January 31st. By incorporating the imagery of the Year of the Dragon, it aims to ignite the public's curiosity in reading, culture, and art. Visit the NLPI to explore the "Original Decoding Picture Book Exhibition," Read picture books with dinosaurs and complete the learning activities. Visit NMNS and take a photo with the dinosaur transformed into a "Space Adventurer. Visit NTMoFA and find your favorite dragon in the "Year of the Dragon New Year Painting Special Exhibition," then take a photo with it. Visit NTT's outdoor plaza and the 6th-floor rooftop garden for an adventure in the "Floral Creature's Green Wonderland." You can also partner up and visit the Family Reading Hub on the B2 level to read picture books from various countries related to dragons. Integrating elements of theater, science, art, and reading, allowing participants to experience the charm of the four major national institutions.
 
Sincerely invite the public to participate in this meaningful event and experience the cultural novelty and fun brought by "S.T.A.L." We hope this joint event will promote reading and lead the public on a cultural journey.
 
Chiao Chuan-Chin, the Director of the National Museum of Natural Science, Qiu Yuan, the General and Artistic Director of the National Taichung Theater, and Chen Kuang-Yi, the Director of the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, also stated that it will bring more opportunities for collaboration to each venue and jointly promote the vigorous development of domestic culture. The S.T.A.L. Alliance will drive more creative collaborative projects, bringing everyone more diverse and innovative cultural experiences.
