《Introduction》
The first half of this lecture, “Calling All Binge-Watchers: Understanding OTT Subscription Rights,” begins with the everyday experience of streaming dramas and movies. Participants will explore how OTT platforms operate behind the scenes, including subscription rights, privacy policies, digital footprint collection, and the ways algorithms quietly shape our viewing choices and information consumption.
The second half, “Don’t Let Algorithms Lead the Way! AI and Fake News Literacy,” further examines how misinformation spreads in the age of generative AI. The session will analyze emotional manipulation, echo chamber effects, and social media recommendation systems, while also introducing practical fact-checking tools and techniques for identifying false information.
In an AI-driven era overflowing with information where truth and falsehood are increasingly difficult to distinguish, this is not merely a lecture about technology—it is a “digital survival guide” for everyone, empowering participants to regain control over how they interpret information and think critically.
