Rebirth in Stories: Writing About Daily Life and Impermanence
Hits:6
《Introduction
After her book Seven Days After My Father resonated deeply with readers and was later adapted into a film, how does author Liu Zijie refine her writing amidst the everyday and the impermanent? How can seemingly ordinary experiences—like daily routines and chores—be imbued with new meaning? And when confronted with life and death, how can words bring solace to the heart?
In this lecture, the author will share the creative inspirations and writing techniques behind her classic works Seven Days After My Father, Dear Child, as well as her latest 2026 release Rebirth. Through readings and discussions, participants will experience the narrative voice and rhythm of literature. The session will also guide readers to reflect on their own emotions through writing, ultimately using words as a tool to bring peace and understanding to the inner self.
