In response to the growing trends of an aging society and the nationwide emphasis on physical fitness, the National Library of Public Information (NLPI) and the National Taiwan Sport University (NTSU)—renowned for cultivating elite athletic talent—officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on June 3. This milestone marks the beginning of a new chapter in NLPI’s efforts toward cross-sector collaboration.
The partnership will center on key areas such as sports technology, senior health and wellness, and sports healthcare. NLPI will contribute its rich resources in library services and reading promotion, while NTSU will bring its strengths in sports promotion, exercise science, and the leisure industry. Together, the two institutions will co-host a range of programs and activities that seamlessly integrate physical activity with the joy of reading.
Through this collaboration, the public—beginning with younger generations—will be encouraged to develop sound fitness awareness and personalized exercise habits. Ultimately, the goal is to make both reading and regular physical activity a natural part of everyday life, fostering a culture of lifelong learning and well-being across all ages nationwide.
