《brief introduction》Life and death are eternal issues that humans cannot escape. As technology advances with each passing day, making it possible to clone life and resurrect extinct species, will our understanding of death also change?
This lecture combines the two fields of art and science. From the perspective of art, it introduces the XR immersive theater work "Between", which explores the gray area between life and death, reality and fiction through imagination.
It also explores from a scientific perspective how humans challenge death through technology and ponders the multiple roles that death plays in nature.
When cloning technology subverts the established logic of life and death, and when a dead whale becomes the cradle of new life, how should we redefine "life"?
From art to science, from sensibility to rationality, this cross-border dialogue invites you to think together: Between technological advancement and natural evolution, is death the end?
