Learn about Taiwan's environment from ecological documentaries
Hits:89
This lecture is authorized by the lecturer and will be broadcast live online
《brief introduction
Taiwan is located in East Asia. It is an island formed by the collision of plates. In the world's zoogeographical division, it belongs to the intersection of the Oriental region and the Old North region. There are as many as 674 bird species in 87 families, and 32 species are endemic to Taiwan. In addition, it is located in an important position in the East Asian island arc, providing an important resting place for many migratory birds. For more than 30 years, with the support of the public sector and corporate foundations, I have filmed more than 10 documentaries with birds as the theme. From the first "The Story of the Orchid Island Scops Owl" in 1995 to the recently completed "Protecting the Black-faced Spoonbill", we can see that environmental changes have a very important impact on birds. I hope that through ecological documentaries, the public will cherish this land more.
