The Taiwan Provincial Government Library (” Provincial Library”) is located in Zhongxing New Village of Nantou City. Itjoined the National Library of Public Information (the National Library for short) in 2013 as a result of the Executive Yuan’s organizational transformation policy. It became a branch of the National Library of Public Information and was renamed the Zhongxing Branch of the National Library of Public Information.
 
In June of 2012, in response to the organization policies, the "Central Public Library Consortium" was formed to allow readers to use one card for all services. Readers can enter the system of the Main Library and the Li-Ming Branch to reserve and borrow books “On shelf”. They have full access to the library facilities, and the library's digital resources, including e-books, digital audio resources, digital learning materials, digital archives and electronic databases.
