1. The Library welcomes donations of books and materials from all individuals and organizations. Donated items should contain knowledge, common sense, or leisure content. However, please refrain from donating the following types of books:
(1) Textbooks and reference books for high schools and primary schools;
(2) Public exam preparation books and employment exam guides;
(3) Outdated, expired, or obsolete books without reference value;
(4) Computer-related books published more than two years ago;
(5) Periodicals, magazines, promotional brochures, and religious books;
(6) Books with drawing lines, notes, water stains, or other damages;
(7) Books that infringe upon copyright laws and regulations;
(8) Other books that do not align with the library's collection development policies.
2. The library reserves the right to review and determine the disposition of the books and materials received, and book donors are not permitted to impose any conditions or raise objections. If you require a thank-you note, it must be requested in advance. The library will issue a thank-you note based on the actual quantity of the donated items and will not assign a value to the gift in accordance with the Ministry of Finance regulations. If the donor does not agree to these terms, the library will be unable to accept the donation.
3. To obtain information about donated books, please contact the Knowledge Organization Department of the library in advance. You can reach us by phone at 04-22625100 ext. 1407 during our operating hours on Tuesdays and Fridays, from 9 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm.
The Library handles large donations on a case-by-case basis, taking into consideration the actual situation.
